Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing:
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers across the US and EU for defense and aerospace components.
Ensure all suppliers comply with export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, EUC, and end-user certifications).
Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to achieve best value and reliability.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
Plan and coordinate international shipments in compliance with defense export laws.
Oversee freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing operations.
Maintain accurate inventory and ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
Compliance & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for import/export licenses, permits, and end-user declarations.
Liaise with government agencies, defense authorities, and licensing offices in the UAE, US, and EU.
Ensure adherence to UAE MOI, US Department of State (DDTC), and EU defense export regulations.
Coordination & Reporting:
Work closely with project managers, engineering, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with project timelines.
Generate regular supply chain performance reports and maintain supplier performance databases.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in supply chain or operations within the defense, aerospace, or high-technology sectors.
Proven experience dealing with US and EU defense manufacturers for weapons and aircraft spare parts supply.
In-depth understanding of export control regulations including ITAR, EAR, and EU dual-use regulations.
Strong knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and customs documentation.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
UAE or GCC experience is an advantage.
