Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance, and financial reporting, and be comfortable handling receivables, payables, and reconciliations independently.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books of accounts on a day-to-day basis
Post and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances
Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly bank reconciliations
Reconcile customer and supplier statements regularly
Receivables & Payables
Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain ageing reports
Ensure timely invoicing and proper documentation
Verify supplier invoices and process payments as per approval
VAT & Compliance (UAE)
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE FTA regulations
Maintain VAT records, supporting documents, and reconciliations
Coordinate with auditors and consultants for VAT and compliance matters
Reporting & Controls
Prepare monthly MIS reports and basic financial statements
Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and expense control
Support internal and external audits when required
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience in the UAE
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting practices
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, or similar)
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
Good understanding of receivables, payables, and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred (Good to Have)
Experience in automotive, trading, or service-based companies
Experience dealing with auditors and banks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
